Now double click on the bundle_calibre_plugin.sh file--if it asks if you want display or run click run--this will build the file calibre-plugin.zip.

Go to plugins in calibre and click load plugin from file, then navigate to the calibre-plugin.zip click on it then click ok.

That will load the plugin, now you will have config it.

I highly recommend that you get a usb stick and copy your calibre config folder to it and keep it up dated that way if you ever have to do a clean install in the future you will have all of your plugin saved.

I have installed and activated the ACSM 0.1.0 input plugin but can't download books from my library. When I drop URLLink (13).acsm onto Calibre a book without content called URLLink (13).acsm is created. The dropping also triggers start.exe from my Wine installation.
What have I not understood, what am I doing wrong and what can I do?

I don't have Windows, but I had a similar problem with a Chromebook. In my case, the problem was resolved by using "Add book" to add the .acsm file instead of drag-and-drop.

Just wanted to voice my thanks for the plugin. It's been on my radar for several years, but always got into an onboarding problem with my Linux machine and how I get an Adobe ID without being able to install ADE.

Finally just gave that "Create anonymous authorization" option a try, and lo and behold, it worked! Thanks so much!

Just go to:

Press sign in then create new account, your user name will be your ADE account ID. Be sure to put in a recovery email address.

Has anyone else experienced problems with this plugin today? I was able to download a library ebook into Calibre yesterday evening and then this morning the plugin stopped working? I haven't made any changes to my computer or plugin settings.

I'm using the default ADE 2.0.1 version
I also verified I'm able to open the ACSM files in Adobe Digital Editions and the epub downloads.

The download was 2 minutes old, I tried downloading the file again and it failed. Maybe I need to restart my computer. Is it possible this plugin may fail if I have too many authorized Adobe ID devices?

Thanks for helping. I think it's good to know that this is a my computer problem and not something going on with the adobe authorization server.

It looks like my calibre is having connection issues. I removed the plugin and deleted the folder in AppData/Roaming/calibre/plugins then I reinstalled.

When I opened the plugin customize settings option, I saw the "Link to ADE account" when I clicked on it I got this error message.

ConnectionResetError: [WinError 10054] An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

It looks like my problem is related to this remote host. Going to see if I can find the answer in Mobile Read forum.

SOLUTION: I used split-tunnel with my VPN, when I removed the Calibre program from split-tunnel I was able to link my ADE account in the plugin and it was able to download the ebook from the overdrive library properly.
