And as I asked earlier, how many time have you heard of a Kobo origami cover bending into the screen and breaking it? Last edited by DNSB; 10-08-2025 at 06:16 PM. |

Well, not many cases, but there was an actual example on reddit. Not sure if it was the Libra 2 or the Colour that was the victim, but the dude had a cracked screen inside an origami case. I can’t find the original post now, but it was definitely there. It was a very worn out case, so it’s probably more of a PEBKAC issue than the sole fault of the origami case. But it seemed like the case was so worn out that the folding parts couldn’t hold it anymore and bent into the display area, which led to a cracked screen. Of course, things like that can happen due to user error and/or carelessness. Personally, I’d always make sure to prevent something like that. So my judgement came from that particular case and from the overall, mostly bad opinion about the official kobo origami cases: expensive, low quality, and prone to very early deterioration. That leaves a lot of uncertainty about them. Feel free to disagree, but I’m certain I’d avoid any origami cases because of the probability that they’ll fail and wreck the device. |

I've never read of a cover being so tight that it breaks cracks the bezel or screen.

Page Button Scrolling for Manga/Comics on Kobo Libra Colour
Hello,
I hope you are doing well. I’m writing to request a feature improvement for the Kobo Libra Colour regarding manga and comic reading. When reading comics or manga zoomed to fit page width, the page does not fit vertically, so I need to scroll down to see the rest of the page. In this reading mode, the side page-turn buttons currently skip directly to the next page instead of scrolling down first. This makes the reading experience more difficult, since I have to use touch gestures on the screen to scroll, which can be less comfortable than using the physical buttons. It would be very helpful if the page-turn buttons could: Scroll vertically first (if more of the current page remains unread), And only move to the next page once the bottom of the page has been reached. This behavior is common in other comic/manga readers, and it would greatly improve usability on the Kobo Libra Colour, especially given that many users choose the device because of the physical buttons and its suitability for manga. I would really appreciate if this could be considered for a future software update. Thank you very much for your time and for your continued work on improving the Kobo reading experience. Best regards! |
