We've had a nice weekend. On Saturday it was mostly sunny and dry, around 13℃ and on Sunday it was a similar temperature with sunny spells in the afternoon. On Sunday we went out for a walk in the woods and we've never seen so many mushrooms! The woods we went to was only a 5 minute drive from my parents' place, who we usually visit on Sunday. So we've decided we want to try and go out for a walk regularly before we go to our parents.

Last evening it started to rain and it rained all through the night and early morning, 6mm so far. Now it's dry, but cloudy and tonight more rain is predicted. The rest of the week will also be rainy with a chance of a storm on Thursday or Friday.

Heavy rain yesterday and lighter rain most of this morning. Chilly enough to make bundling up for a walk necessary.

Today's storm arrives earlier than initially predicted. My province has a yellow weather warning from 4pm until midnight now. During the night we've had almost 30mm of rain already. It's now dry for a while, though still overcast. It's 15℃ at the moment, but from noon it'll start to drop to 11℃ eventually.

I've planned to stay in today, do chores in the morning and spend the afternoon cross stitching and reading with cups of tea.

Truly awful weather - 40's F and steady rain - for days - don't want to be outside no matter how bundled up you are - miserable conditions - time to curl up with cat and books with MukLuk slippers

We've had a lot of rain this past week. But today and tomorrow should be mostly dry and possibly sunny.

Saturday it will be rainy and windy again, but towards the end of the afternoon it should dry up. Hopefully this is true because on Saturday evening there's a Halloween event for the kids in our neighbourhood. Last year some neighbours went all out on the decoration for the event; decorated party tents, music, fog machines. So I'm looking forward to having a walk around the neighbourhood Saturday to see what everyone's come up with.

It's officially (IMHO) winter in NC - pitch dark and pouring rain at 7 pm, flannel sheets on the bed, constant sharp cold wind, blankets piled on the sofa

8° and mostly cloudy though hard to tell in the dark just how much of the sky is covered. Probably going to use the heated mattress pad tonight just to warm up the bed before hopping in.

It seems so much colder than when I was younger.

Mind you it's warm for the time of year here - 14° centigrade.

Lovely weather, yesterday temperatures reached 18℃ (11℃ is normal for this time of year). Today it'll be a little bit cooler, around 15℃, but it's already sunny with little wind. I took a walk around the park, which was lovely, especially with the autumnal colours.

Tomorrow it'll be one or two degrees warmer, but from Saturday temperatures will start dropping. It should stay dry for at least another week. Which is great, because we having some roof and gutter work done on Tuesday.

Thursday was the coldest day of the season so far. It was 44 at 7:30 in the evening and rather windy. I've held off of wearing my down coat. I wore a hoodie and a quilted (featherless but insulated they say) jacket over it.

Now 42 degrees F at 2:00 AM. Going up to 60 this afternoon. Maybe 65 on Saturday.

The good thing about Thursday being colder was that we had more heat than usual. The usual is just a little heat at 7am and a little at 6pm for less than an hour, resulting in 68 inside. It is 71 inside now. I've had to complain via email to the managing agent many times this season. 68 is legal but too cold for me.
