Yes, in that sense. But they are only "robots" to make the format of the mystery work, unlike the robots in the later Asimov stories that are more like Star Trek's Data.

I think this description makes it seem as if the mystery is a generic one, and ther robots were added in later to solve a problem the author was having. This isn't the case. The robots and their "robotness" (following the Three Laws of Robotics) are at the center of the mystery.

I agree this is nothing like Asimov's later robot stories.
