Any item that's shown in the "Tag browser" - Authors, Series, Publishers, Tags, and custom columns etc can have a link stored via the Manage Categories dialogues, not sure about columns made from other columns, maybe not.



That Red Circle L is my icon the default is a Blue Finger.

There may be better way of dealing with Fan Fiction.

Any column that has a category manager. So excludes composite, integers, dates, fulltext, etc.

Oh thank you!! This helps a ton. Can I ask how you made your own icon/changed it to blue? I figured out how to change other icons like the status of the fic on the side panel (is there a way to get that to show in the column main section btw?? I made them really cute but I only know how to get the yes/no check marks for that) but that would be nice to customize too.

I've figured out how to manually add the links in the book details, thank you! Do you know if it's possible to now add that to the epub? If not, this still helps tremendously so thanks again!

Well, here's a new one on me from FFN ... it is from today ... "Browser Cache Failed to Load with error 'BrotliDecompress failed"

Or cache changing while FFF was reading it.

If it reoccurs, a debug log and story URL would be helpful. Otherwise I'm going to assume it's a one-off.

I don't see any obvious 'change this' points in the adapter for including ads. But if you want to implement that as an optional setting and several users agree they would want it, I'd likely accept a PR for it.

Well ... I cleared Chrome's cache and then restarted my Mac. This restarted Chrome and calibre. The BrotliDecompress failed issue remains. Here is an url from FFN to test.

Chrome is Version 140.0.7339.81 (Official Build) (arm64), OSX is version 15.6.1 and the plugin is v4.48.1

FWIW, AO3 still works.

I also tried calibre in debug mode. I've attached the debug log file.

Worked for me on Mac with slightly older Chrome and OSX versions.

Firing up the wife's Mac, as always, involves many updates to many things. Plus a network outage.

(Fun fact I just found: Clearing Chrome cache just before attempting a download can cause failure due to the cache dir not containing anything at all. Need to load a page first to 'prime' cache.)

And now with latest Chrome and OSX... I get that error, too. What joy.

I will continue to look into this, but I make no promises I'll be able to fix it. You might try Firefox instead of Chrome, it's caching code is completely different.

- Update for changes to Chrome Simple Cache.

The attached version addresses booster-t's Chrome cache issue on Mac.

It looks like the cache files are not filling a length field that they used to, leaving it all 0s. However, the appropriate length can be deduced from other fields.

I don't have any other systems that use Chrome Simple(as opposed to Block) cache, such as linux, so I haven't tested on any others.

Interesting. The version that is on the first page of the thread did not work and shows as v4.48.2 However, the version you posted above shows as v4.48.2 as well, but it works.
