Seems expensive for 16 GB of storage.

Yes, they should be discounting 32G and offering a 64G or 128G. The difference is less than cost of Wireless charging, which is a wasteful gimmick. You can read a "flat" ereader via 2m USB cable in bed and a so-called wireless (really in contact induction) charger needs a cable and PSU and wastes power.

I was under the impression that the 245TB drives are not yet available for purchase. Consider the cost of the 122GB drives, they are not going to be cheap. You may as well add PureStorage's DFM modules which are currently 150TB and expected to hit 300TB RSN. Admittedly, those modules only work with PureStorage's hardware.

Both versions are available in Australia. I just purchased the Signature edition as my overworked, much travelled five year old Paperwhite has suffered a screen malfunction

Although I only found out about this afterward, another outlet reconfirmed in June, through an interview with Mr. Panos Panay, that it would soon be available in Japan. Around the same time, I read on Reddit that an Australian media outlet had revealed its launch within Australia. I believe Canada was the only region for which there was no information. Even the Kindle Colorsoft 16GB SKU itself was known through Amazon.com.br. |

Nice.
I'll buy another Kindle when they release another one with page turn buttons and not a day before. |

Fact is, I love my Oasis, and I just want newer one with better battery life and it'd all be perfect. I've been using Libby more and buying from non-Amazon platforms but I don't see another new e-reader out there that's like the Oasis and has better battery life.
I don't mind color but page turn buttons and better battery life are non-negotiable (unless my Oasis dies before this happens). |

For my part, I do find the idea of wireless charging in an e-reader potentially convenient --- with my current older Paperwhite, I put the unit away face down if I notice it needs to be charged after reading before sleeping, which then requires that I notice that the next morning, and have time to plug it in, then when going to bed, I have to remember to get the device beforehand.
It would be a lot easier to just put the device on a charger (without a need for fumbling for a charger/plug) at night if it needs to be charged. |

Cable works to charge while reading or not. I have some 2m cables.
The so-called wireless charger (actually inductive and needs wires) takes more space and is less efficient and costs more. It's pointless technology on anything. DECT phones and professional portable radios use a dock, which doesn't affect efficiency or add as much cost as a "wireless" charger. |
