Made a quick comparison between Kindle Store and Kindle Comic Converter (Humble Bundle PDF source) versions of Blue Lock Vol. 1.

The huge margins and incorrect black levels in the Kindle Store are notable.

Is it possible to remove watermark that is beyond the margin using KCC?

Due to this watermark, tha manga page is not in full screen.

An example is attached. The watermark in on bottom right.

The page number crop option is the best it can do.

But no Kindle/Kobo/ereader is narrower than that image, so even if that watermark was cropped out, it would still look the same and be fullscreen top to bottom.

Searching for testers of a new much sharper color eink rainbow eraser algorithm.

Instead of a global blur, this takes into account the shape of the color filter array.

You probably want the major build unless you have kobo Libra colour.

hmmm i see, thank you for replying.

what about the cropping power? does it do something related to that?

because having the watermark removed, it would allow the image (manga page) to be fullscreen left to right.

A higher cropping power with page number crop option on might crop more.

Feel free to test.

I don’t see how you can have it full screen left to right. The image already fills it top to bottom in portrait mode.

Or are you stretching the image making it wider than intended? So it’s full screen in all 4 directions?

Maybe a picture of your device will make the problem clearer.

i will try a higher cropping power, thanks

the way i read manga, it doesnt matter if the top bottom is in fullscreen, only left right. because i use more than one page in ereader to read one manga page.

the images are not stretched, they are upscalled.

I attached some images to give some examples and kcc configuration that i am using.

example 1 (the images with pirate flag): no watermark. left right is in fullscreen. this is what i am aiming for.

example 2: with watermark (on bottom right). there is a bigger margin on the right. so each square in the image is not as large as it could be.

In both cases, i have to "scroll"(turn the page) to read the whole manga page (one image).

EDIT: it seems that cropping power set at 3 reduces the margin on the right but there are some pages that it didnt crop the number page. it seems, when set at 3, it work on side margins but it does not work well on page numbers (worse than set at 1)

I see, you are doing something nonstandard (fit to width) and also using koreader. You should have mentioned that earlier.

But yea, no way to solve your issue, there's no specific watermark removal algorithm.

Setting margin to W (partially checked) might help though...

Maybe consider reading in 2/3 page landscape mode:

regarding the watermark, setting cropping power to 2 and enabling indeterminate in W/B margin feature solve te issue

thanks for the tip, it is better reading in landscape mode. my erader screen has only 6 inches.

however, there is a loss of quality when i change to landscape. do you if there is a way to reduce this loss?

Using a higher resolution kindle profile might help. Like the newer paper white or scribe profiles.
