OLED TVs use much less power than plasma, fluorescent backlit LCD, and even LED backlit LCD since each pixel only draws as much power as is needed for its current brightness. LCD zoned backlights help some, but OLED is like having millions of zones. LG OLED still has room for improvement on the power front since all the OLEDs are "white" and color is obtained with filters.

The LG G5 has a 20% reduction in power and more color then last year's G4.

And I've been also getting frequent Google Search results with unsolicited modified translation links instead of actual direct links to websites.

(one can always use DDG or even Yandex given Google Search increasing uselessness but Invidious isn't currently very usable)

Huh. Can't say I've ever seen that. But then, I don't log into youtube at all, and I keep uBlock Origin up to date so maybe either of those are keeping things sane.

As for search: Startpage.

Also, there are several *Artist*-Topic channels created (don't know if in automatic), that usually doesn't allows comments: somewhere I'd read YouTube (within all of its worsts policies) is probably one of the bestest social in internet, or at least the most positive (meaning reading the comments, and what's shared in there).
*for the most parts, at least: yes there are persons that likes to profit on hate but... (they don't care).

They are automatically generated channels for artists (bands) with no presence of their own. For example:

I was using Duck Duck Go, but recently Qwant, which respects -word, like they all used to.

Search has really got "dumbed down".

Minus syntax works on Startpage. Can't speak to Google or Bing since I don't use either directly.
