Use your PW3 to dowload your eBooks and then connect your PW3 to your calibre library. Then drag/drop the .kfx directly from the PW3 into your calibre library. You will need the KFX Input plugin and the DeDRM plugin. KFX Input is for combining all the files of the KFX into one and being able to convert to ePub. DeDRM is to remove the DRM. Regardless of your experience drag n drop does not work everytime. I discovered the Add to Library feature because I ran into drag and drop not working. Once I used Add to Library the books added correctly.

I don't think the KFX Output plugin is necessary to convert KFX to a different format.

The KFX Input plugin is needed to convert a KFX file to other formats and also has a tool for converting KFX to ePub (From KFX). For me, it munges the output ePub a lot less than calibre's convert-ebook option. Much like the KindleUnpack plugin gives an output file a lot closer to the original ePub input file than using calibre's conversion pipeline. | |

I am already aware of how to download books using Method 3. My original comment was about issues I was having with Method 2a, I didn't know if anyone else was having similar problems with K4PC and could offer a solution. But it sounds like it's just me experiencing this syncing/downloading issue.
