Odd. I just tested with 2 books released today and they both downloaded. Perhaps it may take them a couple of days to catch up outside the USA store?

Just added a book published yesterday and it refuses to download unless I upgrade. I'm in Canada, running Kindle4PC 2.3.5 on Windows 11 Pro. Have had no issues getting my books until now, needless to say I hate this forced update nonsense.

Kindle firmware 5.18.2 is now available for download. It is listed for the 10th gen Oasis as well as all 11th gen and newer devices. (The 10th gen Paperwhite and regular Kindle are still showing firmware 5.18.1 as latest.)

I am going to wait to install this due to my concerns over Amazon's recent efforts to lock down their DRM again.

K4PC 2.3.5 is too old. Try K4PC 2.4.0.

Running 2.4.0 ... downloaded 4 books, one converted to Epub, when I went back to do the next one, instead of showing the downloaded list, an error message "My Kindle Content is unavailable" instead. The books are in my library, was able to download them to my Paperwhite.

Amazon has caught up with me. I couldn't download a new book today. I removed the downloads for two book that I downloaded yesterday and they give the same error message about needing a new version. So long 2.4.0, we were good while we lasted.

I just purchased a new book from Amazon today. Using Kindle for PC v. 2.3.1 I was able to download the file and successfully import it into Calibre as a KFX file and convert it into an EPUB. I bought a KT4 from eBay a few weeks ago as a backup if needed.

When was the book published? The publication date is what counts.

Getting this error when downloading a book that released today. Have had no issues with other books I downloaded and converted today along with this book.

Books published after around the 22nd April 2025 can no longer be downloaded using the 2.4.0 Kindle app.

Just checking but is it safe to assume there is no current work around? If so, has there been any news that a solution is being worked on?
