Her style is pretty unique as well. Very simple and to the point, no flowery descriptions, no digressions or rambling, no showing off with 5-syllable words or mile-long sentences. This makes her books very short, but there's no sense that something necessary was left unsaid.

When you start a book because of its name reminding you of your late Dad (3 Dahlias, his favourite flower), and it turns out to be so good you get the next one in the series too
