Hitch, I watch reruns - on discs. I find shows much more entertaining WITHOUT commercials.

Plus, I find modern shows too much "in your face". The older stuff has better development of story and character. The old stuff is like a conversation; the modern stuff is like a shouting match.

I'm looking for McCloud (and possibly McMillan & Wife) streaming legally somewhere. Who's hording the rights to 7 seasons of Dennis Weaver for goodness sake?

Universal, I think. It might be NBC. Apparently no one thinks it's worth the licensing cost. Other rights have been cleared, you can buy the entire series as a block on DVD. Hec Ramsey has never been cleared (Richard Boone's estate hasn't reached settlement, ever), so no DVD or anything else.

It's about the Benjamins.

Having to buy a DVD player as well as the DVDs is not a place I'm willing to go. Too buggy whip maker for me. I appreciate the info, but I think I'm going to hold out for the eventual streaming rights. It's just that every now and again, I think of Dennis, and that coat!

Shrug. To each his own. I'm watching McCloud every other week now (swap with Columbo). When I run out of Columbos, I will follow up with Midsomer Murders.)

It's Saturday so movie night. I think tonight I'm going to rewatch The Shining. It's been a while.

If I want to watch anything else tonight I might watch the first episode of The Continental on Prime.

I just finally saw JWIV (wick 4) and honestly...I thought it was interminably boring. I was very very disappointed. And I really liked (other than that thing in the first movie that worked everybody up into a lather) the first 3. I did think that the third movie got a bit repetitious too, especially after he leaves Africa and flies back to NYC, but this one?

It was like lather-rinse-repeat. Go to new international location, lather-rinse-repeat and so on to the end.

Everybody's entitled to their own opinion, of course, but man, I was very bummed by it.

I am not aware of any widespread negative comments about the first movie.

I watched The Apartment (1960 - Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, Fred MacMurray) Sunday evening. It was so good! Watched on DVR. It was on my PBS station Saturday night.

Aside from the acting and story, there were signs of the old offices -- IBM typewriters that were used before Selectrics. Rol-a-dexes and flip page a day desk calendars. We used them until the late 1990s!
