Eh, that doesn't bother me. Ebooks don't have to replicate paper books in every way.

To be honest, I'd prefer to see copyright pages at the back than a "this book is printed on recycled paper" in the eBook.

In my current read the author's writing style seems to be to keep spoilering (that's a word!) his own work. I've read 6 chapters and there have been four spoilers so far:

"didn't know it then... but he'd be needing some courage" so that person is going to meet trouble!

"not have been quite so confident if she'd known that..." spoiler about another character follows.

"unaware of it at the time... would hold their fate in his hands within three days" total loss of any suspense in that thread of the narrative.

"if they'd known what was coming... the horror that was to follow" aaaargh!

If this continues the book is going to be a DNF. sigh

Use Calibre to fix either old mobi or old epub by conversion rules. Do epub 1st and then azw3 from epub if needed.

There was also an author that popularised the "Crime is 100% presented to reader, who knows who did it" and then you read how the detective solves it. Most famous on TV as Lt. Colombo.

So spoilers don't always spoil a story.

A little foreshadowing can build suspense. Too much though...
