I found the reason.

If the respectice column is not shown in the list_view, the scrolling doesn't work

--Read the EPOM Tooltips for the Dotall flag, plus all the others too.

--Do what is stated in the 'added' in my last post, and learn why.

--Add a '?' in your regex where suggested in the Tooltips.

--Teach yourself regular expressions by trial-and-error in Pythex, using the cheat-sheet as a reference.

--Find an online Python regular expression tutorial, and take it, paying special attention to the Multiline and Dotall flags. Trial-and-error is highly educational if you use one of your real example texts.

You should have said days ago that you were using NV to try to view hidden columns. Days ago I would have told you 'no'. Of course you cannot view a column that is hidden. It was hidden by you to expressly not view it.

Small NV glitch (1.0.226).

When first opening a column set to use HTML, https:// links are not clickable and right-click options are greyed. Changing to another format and back fixes this.

http links are working in NV here, I have job_spy_notes_viewer_protocol_default_apps = {'https:': 'C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft/Edge/Application/msedge.exe'} -- my default browser is Firefox.

Two minor enhancement requests:

- Ctrl+F to run a find on the current note.
- Ctrl+A to select all so I can copy it to a text editor to run a find on it.

Adding Ctrl+A isn't an enhancement, it's looks like it's supposed to be there.



The shortcuts only seem to work in Plain style Edit mode. but the context menu options seem to work everywhere. And, the Copy option copies the code in Plain style, and the rendered text in HTML style… which is exactly as I like it

I wasn't sure I would find a need to use this feature. Goes without saying I've found one. It's proving to be very useful when reviewing the content of sparsely populated long text columns. I don't want to filter the book list before invoking NV, but I can do it with NV's search.

Couple of wishes:

• The search results list is sorted on book-id ascending, I'd prefer to have it sorted on book-id descending, because that would map to my default View Manager sort settings - a setting in Options would be good.
• And I'd like a way to traverse the search results list. One obvious way to do that would be to have the Up and Dn buttons traverse the search results list… if it exists.

One other wish, the ability to toggle Mark (Ctrl+M) in the current book from within NV, this is to avoid having to switch focus back and forth with the mouse.

I could have some use for this too. My specific usecase is searching through FanFicFare's longtext metadata column (which contains all the unaltered metadata for the stories) for various things.

I use the Tab key and the Arrow keys to "traverse" the search results list. Please clarify what you are thinking about.
