Great news Hitch! Making the appointment for my 2nd Shingrix shot this month.

I already had my two shots before TGHE (The Great Hitch Episode©), but Hitch's pain finally got my wife to get her first shot. And put her second shot on the calendar. If nothing else, @Hitch, you've done some real good. But at what a cost!

I'm one of them. Second shot coming up next month. It's a lot of money, but reducing the chance of getting shingles in the next 10 years by 90% seems worth it.

Thanks, guys--for all the well-wishes; for all the kind thoughts, cures, treatments and everything else, in PMs and emails over the last two months...and just everything.

And I, too, am truly heartened to see all these Shingrix vax! I mean, if it makes you sick, for a day or so, I'm sorry, (yes, really!) but it will still be better than the alternative, so...not really sorry. (Bad me!)

I'm glad that some good has come from all this hell at this end, well and truly. If I'd gone through all this, even with all the kind wishes, emails and all that, and there was no real "good" to come of it, like the MobileRead Shingrix Vaccination Program (LOL!), it wouldn't have been the same. (I tried to figure out how to make that RSVP, but couldn't, drat it!). It's been a real comfort, a salve when I felt terrible, to know that folks here and two other spots were getting the vax. AND everybody at one of my doc's offices, and my husband's entire family, LOL. (Mine are all already across the human version of the Rainbow Bridge.)

Thanks again, all of you. I can't say it loudly or emphatically enough.

Another thing I won't miss when I move out of the city center:
random (drum) bands.

It's 10 pm, I'm watching the last minutes of a crappy horror movie and thinking of going to bed early since I didn't sleep well last night and then a drum band starts playing outside. Within a minute there are two very upset cats in my room.

After 20 minutes it seems they have moved on, but now the cafes all seem to have their music on louder than normal. It looks (sounds) like it'll be an earplug kinda night.
