Latest version doesn't open web browser from Ids in book detail

When I click on an Id (a URL) within the book detail pane, it no longer opens up in my web browser, but instead opens a book detail window.

How do I get that functionality back?

I'm not sure what I would put in there to pop a Detached Book Details window even if I wanted that - but I'm not au fait with recent changes to calibre's template language.

'book-details' could be a useful addition to the calibre:\\ protocol command set.

The circled pane (large circle) iw where I was talking about, and the small circle is where I used to be able to click & pull up the story.

I don't have anything in the rules, but I've never done anything there before, do I don't see why that would change anything.

as the books in ArchiveofOurOwn don't seem to have any identifiers, you could create one, and fill it in - for instance "aoo:22187314", then create the rule to convert it to a link like this: https://archiveofourown.org/works/22187314/

Is that what you are talking about?

I have several fanfics with both custom ao3: identifiers and default url: ones. Clicking on either opens in browser as expected.

The site itself is usually referred to as that. "Of Our Own" — O3.

Just realized that the help button isn't doing anything either. Is there someplace that specifies the browser?

Calibre just passes URLs over to the system for opening I think. Try re-setting your default browser in system settings.
