Question BOOX Nova Air - big enough for writing & drawing?

i currently thinking about getting a BOOX Nova Air..

my main goal at first was to find a device that allows me to make drawings and handwritten notes for around 150€ since i don't have much money, but i didn't really found one that fits that pricetag.

someone recommended me a remarkable 2, but when i saw that the company who sells it doesn't even gives you a pen for the extremly high price they ask.. i decided to look for another device.

..so, i found out about the "BOOX Nova Air".

but now i ask myself if the display of the Nova Air is big enough to make notes and drawing comfortably. my intention with buying a new device was to have a digital replacement for Din A4 papers and a pen. so seeing that the Nova Air is rather small compared with a remarkable 2 as an example, i fear that it may be too small in size (width) to write and draw comfortable.

so.. does anyone have long-time experience with a Nova Air and can report me his experiences in that terms? i don't really want to read much with it, but use it for writing longer texts and drawing sketches. do you guys think it's big enough for that?

greetings

I think a 10.3" Note would suit you better, but you *might* manage with the 7.8" Nova. I advise you to look at videos comparing 6, 7.8 amd 10.3 inch devices. Cut out a peice of paper to size and decide for yourself. You could also ask in the Onyx subreddit.

You could look for a used Note instead of a new Nova.

The Kobo Elipsa is 10" I think. I dont know what its like for writing and drawing, but I expect its cheaper than Onyx. But not being Android, you'd have fewer software choices, though it's not locked like a Kindle.

thanks for the quick answer!

the problem i have with a 10.3" note would be that it is really expensive. here in germany it costs around 500-550€.. and i didn't even want to spend 300-350€.. so 500-500€ would be 100% too expensive for me (if i get one, i would want a new one ). i currently have no job and no income.. i only have around 1000€ currently in my bank, so buying a device just to draw on it for that much.. is a bit TOO much for me.

that was also the reason why i didn't decided to get a remarkable 2.. since this device would cost me 300-350€ AND i would need to buy a pen for around 50€.

that's why i haggle with myself if the screen size of a Nova Air wouldn't be enough :/..

i watched a few videos about it already, but most review videos are so zoomed-in that you can't really get a good feeling for it. it's really difficult to guess how much in size it then really is without having it in your hands. i have a Kindle PW4 and can assume a Nova Air is a bit bigger, but its still difficult to guess if that is enough or not

p.s: that tip with the paper is good ! maybe i try that out, thanks!

7,8 ~ A6; 10,x ~ A5; 13,3 ~ A4.
But I gave an answer in the other thread.
