Which is why I prefer writing 160.5W x 181.4H x 7.6D mm to remove the possibility for confusion. Looking at Kobo's site (/ca/en), for the 4 ereaders I checked, Kobo seems to prefer WHD with the Libra 2 listed as 144.6W x 161.6H x 9D mm while the Clara HD is listed 110W x 159.6H x 8.35D mm (the WHD is my personal addition). This also shows that all 3 (Sage, Libra 2 and Clara HD) are rectangular since the width is not equal to the height. Last edited by DNSB; 08-18-2022 at 01:14 PM. Thank you. Or if there is it's in a locked filing cabinet in a disused basement with "Beware of the leopard" on the door. There might be a standard, but in 30 years of checking dimensions of parts in engineering design I wasn't aware of it. |

The nice thing about having multiple standards is that there is always one to suit your needs...

My dislike of trade paperbacks has nothing to do with the weight of it. And regardless of the pages long epic battle, to me the Clara and the Libra 2 are close enough in size and weight that I wouldn't be bothered in the least. The reason I didn't care for trade paperbacks and hardbacks was that the lines were too long, to where I would become aware of my eyes traveling back and forth. I just worry that a 7" screen would give me the same feeling. I did occasionally read hard covers and trades when that was the only option, but preferred to avoid them.

On a large screen if the texts are too small and the texts require reading for longer times, my brain gets lethargic and bored. I get sleepy. Turning pages subconsciously motivates my brain to feel a semablance of progress and movement. I would love to have the Clara 2e with the better screen (than the current Clara) as my eyes are getting worse (due to age). I just hope the lower chin is smaller than the clara HD so it would be even smaller in its general form.

Sad day... Returned Clara HD and official case today. Hoping I don't need to use hand-me-down Kindle Touch (over a decade old) with swing-out case light for too long.

Hi, I was offered 70€ for a Kobo Clara HD, but since there is a Clara 2 on the way, should I go for it or just wait and pay 150€?
