Written: American Standard English Verbal: Spanish/English then English w/Spanish accent then English with slip back to some accent and little Spanish My school teachers were always suspect of any written work that I turned in as my verbal didn't match my written work (that received high grades). Father: Spanish spoke little English until I was mid-teens Mother: American Indian/English ..... she did not speak any Spanish So this has always been an interesting story to the family as my parents couldn't always communicate but married anyway P.S. corrected the error...."no one is allowed beyond the Black Stump without an eBook reader (preferably a *BLUE* Sony) in their hand." |
