YT review of ereader observed the Libra 2 screen is a bit better than the sage and his theory is the same as your guess that the sage's flushed a creen somehow diminished a bit of the contrast and he said it is the best screen he had seen so far among his ereaders.

I promised myself I would choose between the Libra 2 and the PW5. But I'm having a real hard time deciding.

The Libra feels very nice to hold and I love the contrast. The Paperwhite is faster and I like it just a bit more how the text is devided over the page. Somehow I can't get my Libra exactly the same.

Ugh, why are Amazon and Kobo doing this to me, making these new e-readers that are both this good!

(sidenote: the Libra screen still has a green tinge but only if you compare it to other screens. If I don't put it next to a different device I would never notice it.)

for page turns, for some reason i personally do not like blazing fast turns. It somehows makes my brain doubt if the page turned or not.

For menus and setting, faster is always better of course.

Oh really? Yes, I can see how that could be a thing for some people.
I know that my brain gets used to a certain speed when I use that particular device for a while. And then it doesn't really seem to matter anymore.

Even though I do like it when I switch from Libra to Paperwhite and the pages turn faster all of a sudden.

I was amazed at how fast the pw5 is when i saw the reviews...

but i prefer kobo's interface and customizations options.

My local kindle group on fb wishes the kindle has some of the kobo's features like reading analytics, option for like the nickelmenu ad patches...

Yes I was thinking about that too, but I was hoping to become a bit more modest and not want ALL the e-readers.

In that comparison, the Kobo looks pretty good. The one thing the Kindle has over the Libra is speed. In the reviews that I've seen, the new Paperwhite is very snappy and responsive.

FWIW, my Sage is snappy as hell... in KOReader ;o).

(And, as far as the screen itself is concerned, stuff is so fast that I'm starting to notice that the flashes are too short to actively combat ghosting

Your sage also has a different processor than the Libra 2.

(That said, I do expect a Libra 2 to *also* be noticeably more responsive in KOReader, albeit not to the same extent as a Sage).
