Indie Psychological Suspense and Domestic Thrillers

I've noticed that there are always lots of indie bargains in the psychological thriller/domestic thriller category. A lot of these seem to be books that come from smaller indie publishers and digital-only imprints of bigger publishers such as Bookouture (part of Hachette); Inkubator Books, based in Dublin; or Bloodhound Books (part of Open Road Media).

They'll have titles like "The Promotion" or "The Husband." And a simple but effective cover, like a single flower on a floor, a closed door, or the front of a house. And I'll end up buying six indie books instead of one major release that I really wanted.

But maybe that's not such a bad idea. These books often get great reviews. The issue is that there are a lot to choose from! Can someone recommend books among this plethora of psychological thrillers and domestic suspense books?

I have read and enjoyed a fair number of Bookouture books; I'm not familiar with Inkubator or Bloodhound. Generally I listen to the audio versions (Whispersync deals!), so I can't speak to formatting issues or proofreading. I consider them equivalent to Lifetime movies--a couple of hours of mindless entertainment, formulaic and forgettable, but still fun.

Anyway, some Bookouture authors who deliver solid if unspectacular stories are Samantha Hayes, Shalini Boland, A.J. Waines, Clare Boyd, Sarah Denzil, Sue Watson, Clare Seeber, and Louise Jensen. I don't care fore Jess Ryder and Sheryl Browne. I've read only standalones, not the series that some of these authors have written.
