Hi, just an update. I bought the klara HD to replace my faulty glo, been happy since. Last week I turned on the glo for one final time before getting rid of it, and low and behold, it worked flawlessly for some reason. So now I have 2 ereaders...

Disconnecting the battery will have no affect on the screen. E-ink screens use no power to maintain the image. The screen is written to, and then holds that until the next update.
And I recommend using a new SD card. The cards in the Glo are getting old and a lot have failed. You can use a larger card, but, 32GB is probably the maximum that will work.
can i also have the image too, please?

Hi, i need a sd image for kobo glo hd. I was trying to extend my storage but i format my sd car without having a backup.

Could someone send me the image of KOBO HD GLO ?? My kobo is like a brick just now.

Hi, i have installed the img file of KOBO GLO HD. But i have a problem, when i turn on my ebook, i select “Conenctarse via Wi-Fi” and appear “Searching updates” and seconds after “ an error has ocurred, please try again” . My PC and another laptos dont recognise the ebook. and i cant update. Have someone the IMG file of a recent version (2020-2021) for KOBO GLO HD??? Could someone help me to solve this problem?

All the images I have are taken from devices after a factory reset. If the WiFi is not connecting, it is usually an external cause. If it happens after entering the WiFi password, it usually means access to the site the device uses to check the WiFi is up is blocked. Or, the firmware on the device is old enough that it doesn't support the current security protocols. The firmware for the Glo HD shouldn't have a problem with the latter.

For the PC to see the device, you need to tell the device to connect. When starting the setup, that means choosing the option to use the PC to do the setup. Again, if it doesn't connect, it use usually something about the connection.

But, have you done a factory reset with the image? That can fix a lot of strange problems after using it. It forces a cleanup and reinstall of the base firmware which may solve this.
