Persistent ERROR on attempt to install.

ERROR 2503

Machine is Win10 - 64 bit.

All recent updates.

Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 20H2
Installed on ‎7/‎20/‎2021
OS build 19042.1110
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3530.0

Any idea why this would happen ?

Can I get a previous version to try ?

You might want to try running the calibre installer from an administrative command prompt. AFAIR, 2502/2503 errors are often permission errors.

SOLVED! A long (repeat LONG!) phone call with Dell, and the problem was easily solved after a TOTAL re-install of Windows10 on the new machine. I DO wish the smart folks at MS would figure out how to solve problems without total re-installs. But now, after something like 12 hours of resetting and installing everything....CALIBRE installed properly. There was NOTHING WRONG with Calibre....it was Windows.
