Yeah, lots of H20 here. Carburated, of course, and with the salts adjusted to mimic those in San Pellegrino.

Hmmm... do you use a single barrel carburator, double barrel carurator or quad barrel carurator? Which leads to wondering just which spellings (carburettor, carburator or carburetor) is correct for Canadians? Though I can't help the horrible suspicion the answer will be any and all.

(after all, a country that can have a garburator instead of a garbage disposer is capable of nearly any atrocity.) Last edited by CRussel; 07-11-2021 at 01:13 AM. | |

First glass from a new batch of faux San Pellegrino. I had to dig DEEP into my old chemistry skills to rework the formula when I ran out of a key ingredient and Amazon only had a relative of it. (Calls for calcium carbonate - CaCO3 - but I could only order Calcium Chloride - CaCl2. Requiring me to drop the salt (NaCl) to keep the Chloride levels right, and tweek a couple of others to compensate for the lower sodium.) Good news is, it seems right. Actually, I can't taste a difference, so I must have gotten pretty close. And I'm going through a LOT of it this summer, with the weather we've been having. |

More my college chemistry teachers, I suspect, but it's been a LONG time since I was a chemistry major. (And at least three different careers, I might add!) Trying to remember my moles and atomic weights was a bit of a stretch from my usual. Enjoying some of that faux San Pellegrino right now. |

Has anyone sampled the new Ardbeg Scorch? Matured in "fiercely charred ex-bourbon casks"? After my disappointment with Ardbeg Wee Beastie, I'm reluctant to part with $117 ... but it IS Ardbeg ... |
