Q: How add root CA certificate to Android 10 trust store on Boox device

I would like to add the root CA certificate of my own CA into the trust store of Android 10 of my Boox device.

Obviously the Android 10 security settings of the device are hidden on the Boox devices.

Is there a way to do this using the UI?

If you install another launcher and run it (I use Nova Launcher for such things), you will be able to access more Android settings. I don't know if that will let you access the settings you need, but try that first.

Thank you, installed it and played around. I can modify the Nova settings, edit workspaces etc, but I do not see how I would enable any Android settings. Sorry, so far i was not an Android user...

No idea how to go from here.

Mmm, have you tried with ADB?

Code:

C:\>adb shell am start -a android.credentials.INSTALL

Then hit the "hamburger" in the upper left and select a file.

Thank you! When I first got my poke3, I tried adding the cert needed for my wifi and ended giving up. Turns out, until I updated my firmware, debug mode was not working on my device. In fact, turning it on broke file transfers. Now that it is updated, your command works perfectly.
