That's just a minor typo in the OP (ping @ilovejedd, I could edit it, but I assume you have your own way of keeping track of it, so I wouldn't want to silently mess with that ).
I don't actually have explicit instructions for this part as to me, it's entirely optional whether the user wants to block updates or not, therefore, outside the scope of the JB guide.

I don't know what version I have installed but the OTA blocker shows up in the Helper+ menu on KUAL hence, I referred to it as KUAL Helper+. Can't rightly remember if the OTA blocker was in KUAL+ or Helper add-on. I always install both (well, actually all the KUAL add-ons from Snapshots).

It's a throwback to ye' olden time without MRPI, when we could install stuff through UYK, except that the actual UYK button required an USBMS session to be enabled, which meant that sending updates over SSH required extra shenanigans, hence the button.

TL;DR: You probably don't care about it.

Which part of This does NOT work on firmware 5.13.4 or newer at the top of the first post is not clear?

5.13.4 added code to defeat this method. It is extremely unlikely that 5.13.5 would revert that.

How do you downgrade after the jailbreak? I can’t find a recent posting. I was able to jailbreak my voyage but I want to bring it back to 5.10.3 so I can block updates as before.

Yes. I’ve seen it. But the experts in these forums I’ve seen multiple times recently say that the recent firmwares prevent downgrading. So far the research I’ve done suggests only opening up the kindle and taking a hardware approach works. Which is beyond my skill set.

I did come across your comment. But i still haven't found where to find the details.
I also came across comments that suggest that (i think it was) 5.12.(something) lent itself to downgrading but never saw any details on how to do that.

addendum: OK. i found hius07 linking to a downgrade posting from 2016. But there wasn't a clear confirmation that the technique from the OP still worked on more recent firmware.
If this still works, it is still beyond me. As was said, "not for the faint of heart."

No. I’ve been hunting all over for it thinking it might answer some questions for me. All I remember is someone claiming that somewhere in 5.12.# that downgrading was enabled. Similar to how jailbreaking flips a switch. I was waiting for details to emerge, yet Nothing ever did. I was especially eager as at that time the new jailbreak wasn’t out yet and I thought someone had found the holy grail.
