Using Calibre 5's ebook viewer in Calibre 4
Hi there,
atm I am still using Portable Calibre 4 unless the DRM plug gets perfectly working (which it does not with 7.1.0). So I asked myself if it would be possible to use the new Calibre 5 ebok viewer in Calibre 4? I tried copying the new file (\Calibre Portable\ebook-viewer-portable.exe) to the C4 dir and renaming the old, but Calibre seems still to open all my books in the Calibre 4 viewer. I am not sure how this is done as I renamed the C4 viewer. Is there a way to incorporate the C5 ebook viewer in portable C4? Thanks Fk |

No there isn't. If you want to use calibre 4 just for drm removal, you can keep a separate portable isntall for it, and simply copy books from that to the main install after removing drm.
