FWIW, I just got the Monsters title for free from Delphi, but also got sucked into buying a book that is decidedly NOT horror, and I still got a 50% discount on it. Maybe they are discounting all of their collections ???

I also got the Monsters title but maybe fortunately, most of the books I was interested in aren't available to the US market.

The 9 book series Gaius Valerius Verrens by Douglas Jackson is on sale for .99 per book. This is historical fiction in Roman times. I have never read this author, but the blurbs indicate that this is a reissue of a Brit author. Kobo has not matched these prices.

These look really interesting to me - both my son and I like historical fiction like this.

Has anyone read this author? I hate to jump for all nine, but would also hate to buy just a couple, and really like them, but then have the rest back up to their rather high normal prices.

This is always my advice. Kindle samples are a real saving grace. I buy maybe 1 in 10 books that draw my attention after reading the samples.
