Love the nightmode feature. Much easier then before.
I would also like to rotate the screen to lanscape, but I only find an Invert orientation option, which rotates it 180 degrees. What did I miss? |

Do you mean this line: swap (4.13.12638+) - Toggles between portrait/landscape (preserves inversion) (this will not work if used in a chain with invert) I tried it, but get an error message, "configuration error". And that it has to do with using it in chain..." How can I use it correctly? Is it not working with the Invert/nightmode feature? That's the only other menu feature I have added. |

menu_item :reader :Invert Screen :nickel_setting :toggle :invert menu_item :main :Invert Screen :nickel_setting :toggle :invert I then got the Invert feature in both main mode and reader mode. Worked well. I then removed the # for line 114: swap (4.13.12638+) - Toggles between portrait/landscape (preserves inversion) (this will not work if used in a chain with invert) But when pressing the Nickel menu in main mode I get the Config error message and when pressing this I get the error description: "parse config files: file /mnt/onboard/.adds/nmconfig.txt: line 114: field 1: unknown type 'swap (4.13.12638+)) - Toggles between portrait/landscape (preserves inversion) (this will not work if used in a chain with invert)' (src/config.c:279) (src/config.c761)" |

Emphasis on *show*
.But, this isn't how the documentation works: it's a documentation, not an example. There happens to be a few examples at the tail end of it, but that's besides the point. Read it, grok the syntax, then write a *new* config *from scratch*, chances are, things will only get better from there .

Thanks for forcing me to think again
![]() Figured it out finally... and ended up with this: menu_item :main :Invert Screen :nickel_setting :toggle :invert menu_item :reader :Invert Screen :nickel_setting :toggle :invert menu_item :main :Portrait/landscape :nickel_orientation :swap menu_item :reader :Portrait/landscape :nickel_orientation :swap And it worked...

I don't know if it's possible what I'm asking, but would it be possible to open a book directly in koreader from nicklel? adding an option in the book's context menu to the style of how it's done on android?

@fer1803: Potentially, yes, but it's a terrible idea because we don't run concurrently with Nickel. We murder it with fire on startup.
And even that theoretical is only that, highly theoretical, would need quite a bit of work, and the UX would be terrible. TL;DR: No. |

Hmm. Does NM have dual functions (do 2 actions with 1 menu item)? That would be useful.
