I think you will get your "wish". I feel like the changes in these two releases are just stepping stones. I don't know what the changes will be, or when they will happen, I just feel like there is more to come.

It was definitely there in 4.23.15505. -

I'm not sure exactly where you mean, but, I have been staring at these screens a bit, and I don't see a good place to put the page numbers that is consistent with the overall design of the screens. And consistent across them.

i'm not nitpicking regarding the go to page number i do use it, the latest firmware taking away that feature/option gives me another reason to stick with the older firmware.

But in order to use go to page, you have to have a page number in mind and in that case, you can easily scroll to that same page as it shows what page you will be on when you stop scrolling. It's not difficult to go to a specific page.

I do think the page number should be shown. Do we need to be able to type in a page number? Not really since it's easy enough to go to that page with the slider.

The only place I would like to be able to go to a specific page is inside epubs. In the book list, the scrollbar is easier. I would like x of y to be displayed all the time, but it's easy enough to touch the scrollbar and see it. You can also tell when you're on the first or last page when the arrows grey out. I like that the greyed out arrow still works -taking you to the opposite end of the list.

I would be OK with the page slider for the eBook to also show x of y as that would make it a lot easier to go to a specific page.

you can only see the page number while dragging the scrollbar/slider as soon as you let go it disappears. my main point still stands (it's a simple fact) when in my books etc, you can't see on the right side of the UI the tap to go to page. as far as i'm concerned that's not a change for the better.

is there any feature/option that as been in the UI for at least the last 5 years that you would mind being taken away completely? i'd make the case those who are not lamenting the demise of the go to page probably didn't used it much/never.

I used it often, and miss it not at all - the display shown on the scrollbar is more than adequate, and I don't need to hold my finger on the scroll bar to remember what page I'm on after seeing, as my short-term memory is not THAT impaired, yet. If I let go after seeing "6 of 42" I can keep that number in memory long enough to know that one up click will take me to 5 of 42, one down click to 7 of 42.
