				Renaming files

Hi, everyone! I am wondering if it is possible to use calibre to rename all my e-book files using a pattern such as "Author - Title (series vol. #)". I've been doing this manually... I did not find anything about this, only instruction on how to rename the contents of an e-book file. Does anyone know anything that could help me get more efficient? Thanks in advance.

The issue is Kindle (assumes the rename was for the destination device) The K uses internals for its bookshelves Use the Preferences: Metadata Plugboard You only need to add Series to the title field. Author is its own field in the Kindle (I have the index Before the title because I want to sort titles by series Order. Also note: I use the Collections PI for Series, but that needs a Jailbreak on later models than my K4) OTOH If you wanted to rename INSIDE the Library folder. NO NO NO, you will break Calibre finding the book again. There is a sticky or FAQ on this |
