It is possible right now. Modern e-ink readers have more memory and more powerful processors than PCs that happily ran LaTeX many, many years ago had.

As long as it's a readable font, avoids spacing issues, avoids text-image overlaps, and avoids having to jump back up due to standard-2-column-layout.

Left-justified can more reliably avoid spacing issues.

The entire line. All the spacing. As you see when you look at the one in KePub, the spaces are slightly larger for that line because Access does not reduce the size of the spaces.

The meaning of those words is that the spacing changes within the line.
