Currently, nothing happens when long-pressing a link. It would be nice if long-pressing a link would open it in the preview, similar to what happens when you use the scrubber.

The problem is that if a page turn button was able to be used as you want, then the Kobo would never be truly off.

I doubt if they do. I'm not exactly sure of the calculation, but it appears the initially based on some standard words per minute and gets modified as you read. It will be using the time spent reading, and I know that includes the time timeout. It probably averages out the more you read, but, earlier in the book, it will have a bigger impact. I take the time remaining as a "guestimate". For words per minute, I would want to see something more accurate. But, I don't really have any interest in seeing it. I like the current in-book stats, though I mainly look at the chapter graph. And I like the current overall stats. And Kobo's Reading Life email with the hours read and pages "flipped" for the month is good. Adding that on the device, or seeing the stats for the last few books in one glance might be good. But, I'm not sure what else is useful. |

See attached image. I once forgot my Forma in a desk drawer at work and it still woke up when I got back to the office after the long weekend.

Thank you for your advice.. But i am not sure if disabling the turnoff option is safe for the device health in long terms..0 Kobo Forma new user

Hmmm... My Kobo Touch is still going strong. Seriously, the difference in life span between sleep and power off would only come into play if you left it in either state long enough for the battery to discharge past a safe level.
