Content Err Something went wrong

I have the Oasis2 and every since the update to 5.12.5 I get the error "Err Something went wrong" when trying to download books. And when I try to force a book from Amazon to my Oasis2 it acts like it downloads but never does.
What should I do if anything.

Have you rebooted the Oasis? That is usually the first thing to try when a Kindle misbehaves.

With the device charged and unplugged, press and hold the power button for 30-40 seconds. Count it, don't guess. The screen will flash, and the progress bar will show up. Wait while it reboots. Once it boots up and is back on your WiFi, try to download again.

No help still the same thing. I am temped to deregister and reset the Oasis and just start over.

Okay I had to deregister, and completely reset my Oasis2 to get things working again. Yes, I lost all settings and everything I had on the Oasis but it was worth it to get things working again.
