Book Description
How do I get the book descriptions included when sending e books by email or by transferring from my Calibre library to my kindle e reader. I get author, titles, covers, contents etc but not the book description.

Where in the Kindle user interface are you expecting the book description to appear?

You can convert the book with the option to insert metadata as page at the start of book (Preferences/Conversion/Common Options/Structure Detection) or use Polish tool (azw3 or epub) to embed a metadata jacket. This may do what you want.

You will have to remove the old conversion options to reconvert a book with new options. This is found in the Bulk Metadata tool under Basic Metadata as Remove stored conversion settings for the selected books. Just thought I would mention that since I've had fun finding it when a re-conversion did not work as expected.

OTOH, if you are looking for something like the attached image, I don't think the Kindle firmware has that functionality.

Preferable inside the cover page and before the Contents list.

convert to azw3 and enable the insert metadata jacket feature in the conversion dialog undure structure detection. Then send the azw3 to your kindle.
