Am I right that, much like the Voyage 2 badereader has been predicting for several years, this is fake news?
EDIT: As far as I can tell, the first article predicting the Voyage 2 is from July 9, 2015 and titled "Amazon Kindle Voyage 2 to be Released November 2015"
Meanwhile, it's extremely late in December 2019 in my neck of the woods, and still no Kindle Voyage 2.

You bet Sony was working on a new generation but apparently changed their minds. Was it after it was rooted?
Sony claimed the security was high priority but device with ancient Android 5 layer and production being moved to China undermined it.
Digital Paper was marketed mainly towards academics and professionals where security is top priority.
Sony can't fool people forever. Why was the same device rebranded by Fujitsu?

oh, and those Fujitsu devices are actually Netronix hardware, so they are not rebranded Sony devices

EDIT: Well, I know for sure one is Netronix hardware, so the other probably is as well

So now that Digital paper is discontinued, any ideas how to get the replacement nibs? I'm afraid of running out of them. Paid for this device less than a year ago. Quite pricey and will maybe only be able to use for a few months. Any help or thoughts.

I saw the reMarkable 2 advertised on Pluto TV tonight and thought maybe it was Sony's new device.
Wikipedia says it's a Norwegian startup company called reMarkable. Looks pretty slick though.
