				Unresponsive Kindle

I dropped my Kindle the other day. Not a bad drop, just moving it from my bed where I read without a case. The screen seemed fine, the back slightly popped open. But absolutely no response from the on/off slide switch. This was a Kindle in which I had recently replaced the motherboard. Plugging it into my computer awakened it, and I was able to see everything in its place. But still, no response to the on/off switch.

I assumed that something had broken or displaced around the on/off switch, so I opened it up. Nothing visible. I decided to remove the battery for a true hard restart and Bingo! Everything back to normal. Curious, eh? I'm greatly relieved. This is my favorite amongst my several Kindle Keyboards -- I don't know why... |
