Is there a way to get more fonts on Kinde app?

Is there a way to install more fonts for Kindle app for iPhone, Windows, Android and Mac?

No. not easily anyway. it's very much a take it or leave it, self-contained app.
There may be some clever hacks but I am not aware of them

they have "enough" for basic reading. Why should amazon offer more- they'd much prefer you to buy an actual Kindle instead, and with one of those you can add any font you own ( I think)

This appears to be an iOS 13 specific feature, so it is different that what is possible with 3rd party apps like iFont. And so far, I have not seen any evidence of Fonts ‘available in the App Store’, or app updates touting the ability to work with custom fonts, or tech articles walking through how the feature works. So I assume it has not arrived yet.

In any case it is something Amazon would have to implement.

There’s no reason they had to wait on Apple to support Custom fonts, as a number of reading apps do on iOS and Android, but to date, they haven’t.

That stuff about custom fonts is misleading.

I have windows and android. with both of those it's irrelevant how many extra fonts you have or add to the device, the kindle for... App cannot see or use them.

Other apps can.e.g. It's easy to add fonts to moon reader or bookari, just add them to the app folder.

If having more fonts is important, convert books to epub and read with a more flexible app

What I'm afraid of is losing all my highlights if I ever lose the phone, unlike Books or Kindle where the highlights are saved in cloud and all I have to do is get a new phone and then sign into the same account.

some epub readers, e.g. Moon+ , also allow you to save to dropbox or other clouds

i think so, but its not a feature I use myself.

I have important highlights/notes, how to make backup for them?

You can click "Options - Backup" to make whole backup for all books and all reader settings, or click "Bookmarks dialog - Export - Export to file" to make a single backup for current book.

I'm not talking about the export function. I knew it had that function, but Books and Kindle would preserve the highlights information in cloud even without needing for exporting it.

For something like Moon you would have to keep exporting your highlights everyday. Otherwise when you lose your phone your highlights are gone.

if MOON sync to cloud is enabled then it syncs automatically every time you exit the app

I use it all the time to sync bookmarks and last page read across all my devices. its an automated process, same as with actual Kindles

the devices have to be on-line - of course- but most phones are

as for Moon pro, and other alternatives, do some research and find out . there's a web site, there's a description in google store....& like any paid google app you can use it for up to 2 hours and still get a refund if you don't like it .

I know what Stanza did. It made a real mess of your ePub. It did not properly respect the CSS and did too much via overrides. Reading software that doesn't respect the CSS is garbage and that's what Stanza was.
