PW3 Help - it's now 5.12.1

My bloody kids must have switched on the wifi and my PW3 has been updated to 5.12.1
It was previously jailbroken with no problems.
Am I screwed or is there anyway I can get back to previous?
BTW, I thought I'd set it up not to OTA update too

Aah, sorry - wasn't obvious to me.
Thank you for your pointer - got there in the end!
Now if I could only delete the old KUAL without resorting to SSH!

You cannot delete, but can hide, in terminal

cd /var/local

Thanks hius07 - I had seen that but getting terminal to work with my kindle is a bit out of my league at the moment!
Am still trying to get the book collections to work in KUAL....

Alternately, you can put hius07 code in a shell script named runme.sh in the top most visible level of USB storage and invoke it with a ;log runme search bar command.

May I correct a little bit: the script should be named RUNME.sh (case sensitive)

Same here. Turned on wifi tonight to get some books. Read for a while, set it down and my KV updated to 5.12.1! I also thought it was set not to ota update. I looked in the KV root and the update.bin.tmp.partial folder was missing. Isn't that supposed to stop the ota? Not sure when or how it disappeared. Maybe after the last update I did to 5.11.2 or just now when it updated to 5.12.1. Freaked me out for a minute there but all's good again after redoing the hotfix etc.

I also noticed that kual helper has an option to "prevent ota". I am not sure if it does anything. I also put back update.bin.tmp.partial folder into the KV's root. Have updated my personal notes to be wary!

That worked for me too (except I had to put ;log RUNME in the search bar - ie uppercase rather than lowercase).

the arg may vary but the name of the script is strict.

(Except vfat is case-insensitive, so the point is indeed moot ).

Try running /mnt/us/RuNmE.sH for funsies, that'll most likely work .
