I'm switching to one of the "new" fabric Amazon covers since I can't keep using the 2017 cover (I'll just leave it on the 2017 Kindle). I like that the Amazon covers do have magnets that keep the cover folded back while you're reading. The wraparound cover has weaker magnets, but they're there.

I also have a Casebot cover (I believe that's the same company as Fintie) and I didn't care for the puffiness of the front cover, and it doesn't have that cover-holding magnet. I ordered the Amazon cover because of those (admittedly-subjective) shortcomings, but I'll try the Casebot cover with it first when it arrives and see if it works or not. If it works, I'll post a link to the product page.

Same here. If it were as big as the Kobo flagships I would finally have no reason to upgrade. I believe we’ll get there, some day...

Never thought I would be interested in a yellow light but boy would I miss it if it were to magically disappear on me now... can’t live without it! It’s the best upgrade in Ereadera since they introduced 300ppi IMO.

I would say the battery performance is about the same. Nowhere near what I used to get on my old Paperwhite/Voyage etc. I guess this is the new normal :/

Hmmmmm...interesting. I was under the impression that covers for the previous generation 7” Oasis would fit the new one. I ordered the same cover, so I guess I will find out soon enough!

I just got a shipping notification an hour ago and it says it will be delivered Monday. I can’t imagine it will really take 3+ days to get to me, but then again, I don’t know where it’s coming from. We shall see........

I have the impression that many covers were (or are) at first advertised as compatible with the new Oasis without testing because the size is the same. But they are not. The auto on/off does not work.
So, be cautious.

After experimenting with various cases for my Oasis 2, including the official Amazon water-safe fabric cover, I ended up preferring to read the Oasis without any cover. I agree. The magnetic aspect of the case is attracted to the Oasis but the auto sleep/wake does nothing.

I got my Oasis, just had a quick look at it, the screen is beautiful, warmer than the last one, even before using the warm light. I have just put the warm light to around 4 and it looks divine. I’m very pleased with it. I think it might actually be 'the one'.
I mostly use my Oasis at night. I had a chance to use it last night. The warm light really makes it easy on the eyes and easier for the spouse to deal with a light on .

One reviewer (only one) says it fits the Kindle Oasis 2017.
