Is there a way to duplicate a note so you have two of the same?
Since writing on PDF's is so bad, I need a daily worksheet which I've created with a note. My thinking was to duplicate the 'master' note each day with the daily information I need to enter.
Only thing is, how do you duplicate a note so you'd have two of the same?

I see on the KOReader wiki :

reflow of complex PDF's using*k2pdfopt
Boyuo supports this as well

saving and exporting notes to files or Evernote
Not sure but built in software seems to create png plus some custom file for the notes

custom*.ttf*fonts and stardict dictionaries
Built in reader seems to support this as well

cloud storage (Dropbox, FTP) and synchronization
I am not sure about this with boyuo.

content providers:*Wikipedia,*OPDS*and Goodreads
I am not sure about this with boyuo.


Anyways i was hoping someone with experience to shead some light. I am very new to ereaders and it is not easy to me to compare.

My main concern is Epub and Pdf documents reading, so i don't care of taking note app.
What desapointing with Mimas!!!!
I received this device yesterday 9-3-2109, i have already Note, so Mimas with its cpu octo-core and 2Go ram, works worse than Note single core and 1Go ram!!!!
-Physicals buttons doesn'twork, just for sound volume, not changing pages, i really don't care of sound!!
-All PDF document are seen as EPUB, so i can't read them!
-Calibre not synchronise, so it's so easy with Note!
- native CSS of epub document not respected!, so did Note!!
One poisitive point, dictionnary works.
So main complain remain, software is always buggy, really no ned multi-core processor for this type dedicated device, just Boyue have to design software correctly!
It's so bad!!

Its a matter of personal preference. In any case you need to try an updated build and no the (probably clumsy) one provided by the thieves.

KOReader should behave properly on the Mimas thanks to user feedback. In other models (mars and muses) it should behave ok but without fullscreen refreshes. You can provide feedback for your model if you download the latest einkTest application from https://github.com/koreader/koreader/releases and comment on the issue: https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/4551.

But, I repeat again, do not expect that boyue provides a working koreader application, because they're, again, thieves.

recently i have recieved my likebook mimas.
I have tried different stylus on it and i discovered that the bamboo spark, slate and the stylus of the lenovo yoga book (they are basically the same) worked.

The bamboo spark pen i have is a real pen so you can put a A5 paper sheet over the mimas screen and the note app and write on the paper and get an instant digital copy of it.
Very useful for academic usage, you can take notes and get both analog and digital copy of them.

i upload a couple of pictures to show it.

So can someone corfirm or deny what I read here and in Goodereader review:
That the physical buttons do not turn pages or they turn pages only in the default reader app but not in any others (such as Cool Reader?).

Is it possible then to install your own fonts for the default reader app?

Is the flexible screen really covered with glass?

In Android, they're mapped to volume up and down, so any app that has the feature of turning pages with the volume buttons is working. The Amazon App works for example, though you have to enable the feature in the settings menu of the Amazon App.

I have it on and no problem with lag or whatsoever. However I have not tried it with screen protector off.

If you decide to add the protector, make sure of a dust clean environments and follow one of the guides posted in this thread. Getting it on is a real hassle

Then I can get them working in Cool Reader. Either directly (I think, I have to check) or by modifying the code of CR, as it is very easy to build a working CR apk from the available sources.

The white color problem can also be fixed either by an adhesive tape or (better) by repainting the frame. Any suggestions what paint to use? Anybody tried it?

What bothers me most is the possibility that the screen is covered with glass.
That takes away completely the comfortable relaxed feeling I finally have when reading on OB Note.
I guess, no need to try to remove the glass before it breaks. Then/if - the moment of truth...

There is a vendor called DBRAND who deals with adhesive skins. Though they have nothing in stock for the Mimas right now. Maybe you find a similar vendor who produces universal skins or ones just made for the Mimas. I would advise you not to paint the device, as nobody will buy it if you ever sell it.

I don't see your problem. The Mimas is no iPhone. You would have to drop it very very very hard. Like irresponsible hard... Also it has got a thick plastic bezel around the screen and the screen is a little recessed by about 1mm. I don't see any reason it would ever shatter. Also the Mimas is always bundled with a book case which protects the screen and a screen protector (foil). I keep my Mimas in my leather shoulder bag with only the standard book cover around it and it lives very fine in there. Also the cover has a magnet inside for the Mimas' HAL Sensor. It automatically unlocks, when you open the cover. And a holder for the pen.
