That was intriguing until I got down to the bottom and realized the source (Goodereader). At least they didn't claim it was coming for Mother's Day, so that improves the credibility . The short version is that until a more credible source has any reporting on it (and none do currently that I could find), I wouldn't believe a word of this article nor would I expect that even exists.

Well, that isn't the 10.3" model that Sony released last spring, so this is probably just another lie made up by that site.

Interesting would be to know how new Sony will differ from existing one.
I have tried contact Sony without any luck.

Rumour has it.
the 2019 version will have both an E Ink Carta and Mobius screen, which will make it lighter and have higher resolution for PDF files.

No news yet I guess?

Hello,

I used the 1st edition Sony for 3-4 years and traded it for the Boyue Mimas based on reviews and backlight and that was a mistake. It's unusable for PDFs.

Now I need to sell this Mimas and get a PDF tool that works but I'll patiently wait for that 3rd edition Sony hoping for a backlight.

In the meantime maybe I'll get luckily with a Boyue software update increasing the PDF functions and look over the Onyx line a little closer.

I think you will wait in vain. The current light layer technology requires that the display be flat, while the Sony devices are flexible (to be light).
