The short story is available to read for free on Tor.com.

I can recommend the short story collection (that isn't on sale) Conservation of Shadows. It has a few stories set in the same "hexarchate" universe as the trilogy, and there is a dedicated hexarchate short story collection coming out next year.

There seem to be quite a few Solaris books on offer. I've also noticed the shared world series After the War, starting with Redemption's Blade by Adrian Tchaikovsky, and the whole of the Fractured Europe series by Dave Hutchinson, including the new one, Europe at Dawn, that hasn't been out very long. I haven't read the former, but I've read the first three of the latter and like them a lot.

While searching for something new to read on KU, I noticed that back issues of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction are available with a Kindle Unlimited subscription. You have to search for "Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction" (and possibly a year) because if you go to the F&SF Kindle magazine subscription page, there's no indication that back issues are included with KU.

Here's an example:

The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction September/October 2018 (The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction Book 135)

I tried some other SF&F and mystery magazines, but I couldn't find any others. It's like they're trying to hide them.

Anyway, if you signed up for the 3 months of KU for $0.99 deal and you're having trouble finding anything other than dreadful self-published stuff, this might be an option.

I borrowed a few issues of F&SF magazine through the Kindle Owners Library. Then subscribed when it was on sale. I've liked it enough to keep subscribing at regular price -- although I switched over to Weightless Books instead of Amazon. There are usually 10 or so stories plus a few other columns and reviews each issue (6 issues per year).

In this story the abrahamic god is dead, his huge body floating in the ocean. Humans and divine beings deal with the repercussions.
