Can I set my Kindle 4 to wake from sleep?

Tried a number of things but no joy. One of the things that strikes me as odd, the information i've found all refers to; /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm but my kindle doesn't have this, instead it has /sys/devices/platform/pmic_rtc.1/rtc/rtc1/wakealarm

When I try writing to the file then cat the file it appears empty.

Is the feature not available on my Kindle 4? Or am I doing something wrong?

Did you get anywhere with this? I am experiencing the same results as you on my K4.

Fortunately I was subscribed to the thread, but unfortunately I didn't really make any progress with the project.

I still have the kindle knocking around and would love to use it or have another cheap/eco e-ink display as a "dashboard" of sorts (if I had more time on my hands, i'd love to do a kickstarter or something, suspect it'd be very popular).

That's a shame to learn. I'm assuming it's possible although I don't know if there any any legitimate uses of waking up a kindle 4. Maybe the ad framework does it for the sponsored K4?
