Help on downngrading firmware?

Hey, I'm really new to this, literally. I just got a previously owned Kindle touch 4 from eBay today that wouldn't register no matter what I did. The seller never specified this. I'm returning it, but the problem is, I upgraded from 5.1.2. to 5.3.2.1. to try to see if it would make the problem go away. Didn't work, so now I want to downgrade back to 5.1.2., otherwise I can't return the Kindle. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Edit: or if there's a way for me to bypass that error and use my collection using a hack, that would be good too.
