Liquavista is dead
Amazon shut it down earlier this year:

The economics of LCD have killed everything this side of OLED and even OLED is having to hug the high end to prosper. Not much room for anything else.

I imagine one of the main issues is that reading on phones and tablets is a great experience for most people. There wasn't going to be a huge market for this technology unless it could work better than lcd and be produced cheaper. Which never was likely.

I agree. I would love a vibrant color e-ink-esque tablet to read comics on. But the demand just isn't there and likely never will be.

It's one I found by Googling "Liquavista" and going to images. It may be that the source image wasn't that great to begin with. I believe it was taken from an old Guitar Hero game.

Try Googling Liquavista yourself. What's shown does look leagues better than color e-ink. Not that it matters I guess. Neither technology is threatening to break out and become widely available.
