Setting Up Calibre on New Machine - book title, the
my old box died and I set up calibre on the new one. slowly getting things squared away, but I don't have access to see how I set various things. right now it's importing "the book title" as "book title, the" and I would like to stop this behavior again. thanks!

Settings - Tweaks - Control sorting of titles and series in the library display

While you're at it, maybe look through the other tweaks, too. You may have others in your previous install. I know I have like 10 of those entries customized.

thank you! I missed that one. was looking at plugboards because I had one of those too. it's now doing all kinds of things that I had customized a different way.
