So you can delete that chapter from your epub (with Calibre's Edit book feature) and update the book. Or overwrite it, if you're not into manual editing.

Does it make any difference how fast a story is downloaded if it's an epub or a text-file?

Calibre's Convert for large stories can take a while if you have auto-convert turned on.

Hi, thanks so much for the awesome plugin! It's saved me so much time. The change to AO3 logins has affected my practices, and I'm wondering if there's any way around it. I used to be able to get works off a locked series page, as opposed to a locked work page, through "get story URLs from web page." Also, I private-bookmark AO3 works to be downloaded, and I used to be able to give the URL for those bookmarks to FFF. Now, both attempts result in being told there are no story URLs on those pages. I recognize that the first of these is a much more common use case. Because it also results in a redirect to http://archiveofourown.org/login?restricted=true , it seems like it ought to be addressable? But if there's any way to log into AO3 before attempting to get story URLs, as used to be the case, that would be really great. Thanks very much, regardless! |

Do you have always_login:true in your personal.ini under [archiveofourown.org]? That's needed for AO3 user-required lists to be fetched logged in. EDIT: BTW, please include URLs that demonstrate the reported problem if you want more than a guess. Last edited by JimmXinu; 10-16-2017 at 10:35 AM.

New Version Released Version 2.18.0 - 16 Oct 2017 - Remove AO3 login from get_urls_from_page--login is failing and it isn't required anymore for 'adult'. 'Restricted' (user-only) won't work. - Plugin: Save 'Show Download Options' check in gprefs like dialog geometries. - Fixes for QQ and AH changes. - base_xenforo: Fix for extended chars in threadmark chapter names. - base_xenforo: Couple small fixes for corner cases. -- Except one of them isn't, I think it would be pretty common; namely a notice being using as first chapter. - adapter_literotica: Build the chapter a little better especially if there is mutiple pages (#225) - Thanks, davidfor - base_xenforo: Use '/posts/' not 'post' to find thread vs post URLs. - Add sectionUrl metadata and mechanism for internally normalizing story URLs *and* [story URL] sections. For base_xenforo when including thread titles in storyUrl. Doesn't effect base_xenforo *post* URLs. - base_xenforo: Move skip_threadmarks_categories to save a fetch if skipping anyway. Will also effect minimum_threadmarks. - base_xenforo: Don't include thread title in *chapter* url, perfomance impact is smaller and keeps from marking a bunch of stuff (new). - Add delays for base_xenforoforum_adapter. - Use thread-title URL for storyUrl with base_xenforo to save redirect fetches. - Comment out some debug output. - Remove webnovel.com manual escaping of HTML entities, the website now seems to take care of it (#224)--thanks cryzed |

Current version seems to have the formatting breaking down for webnovel.com on some of the newer chapters.

@Arkeus as soon as the new test version is up, that issue should hopefully be fixed.

Is it possible to get some download url normalization (not sure if that's the right term) for webnovel? Currently it can accept multiple different urls for the same download on webnovel, or hundreds if you really wanted to. Depending on where you get the link on their website, webnovel may give you one of two different URLs. For example, depending on where you get the link from an example would be: https://www.webnovel.com/book/8299599706003805 https://www.webnovel.com/book/829959...ion-Chat-Group both read as separate books despite the fact they are essentially the same url, just with an additional level for the identifier added. The only difference is where the link comes from. I'm not sure why, but I noticed that this problem occurred for me recently when I was trying to update a few novels from the website rather than finding them directly in calibre and instead of updating it downloaded the entire story again as a new story. Based on what I've seen anything after www.webnovel.com/book/ID#/ is more of an empty parameter that's serves no true purpose. For example, for the URL above https://www.webnovel.com/book/8299599706003805/wacky will link to the same story. |
