If this MaxPro can be used as a HDMI monitor, I would buy an Intel stick and throw away MacPro, Surface Pro, Surface Book.I think 4100mAh can run both screen and stick for a while!

You mean a PC-in-a-box? Yes, that's the idea. (If you already have something specific in mind, please share)
If you charge the tablet through the USB no problem with the battery constraint.

Do not throw away your eyes' cones yet - in five years we will have colour.

EDIT: found (I am finally in front of a desktop): you must mean the Intel Atom x5-Z8300 1441 MHz (4 cores) based Intel Compute Stick 2016. Probably, in Geekbench 3 terms, 700 single core, 2000 multicore. Not even double the host used as monitor. Don't you think we could find something better? ; )

This is great news. It seems as if they did everything right. I hope they dont go overboard with the price though. I wonder if they handled in a way that the battery doesnt get depleted during monitor mode.

Yes, it wasn't hesitant or wishy washy. Mobius is available in two configurations, Carta and the older Pearl. Mobius refers to a flexible substrate which is usually the part that fails on E Ink devices. It is possible for the front layer to still be glass which would be needed to support frontlighting for example. The front layer can be gorilla glass or other ruggedized surface. Read about it in our wiki E Ink Mobius.

It takes 15 volts to change a dot. The battery will deplete a little when the page is static and will deplete a lot when animation is displayed. There can be no miracle. When it goes below a low level, you recharge it. If you have disdain towards the battery, keep it USB connected during use.

They could have implemented a "battery charge prevention" when USB connected, but I do not bet on it. I do not even know if it is technically possible: after all, USB gives 5 volts. I am not competent in those matters. (EDIT: the device should have two batteries, one small for low amperage, active only when connected to a PC, one big for portability, charged only when connected to amperage at least 1... Not now, not in 2017)
