That's a shame, because the thread on it did say it could import metadata from .aax and .aa filles, amongst others. However, it did not claim to be able to download metadata. I'll still give it a try, but it seems that a plugin for downloading metadata will be necessary. Looks like I may have been fooled by the advertising! |

Thanks for trying it out. I think I'd prefer to create empty book entries rather than move all my audiobook files into Calibre, so downloading metadata would be more important for me than reading it. I'm currently just using a spreadsheet for my audiobooks, which works well enough, I suppose. |

It would help if Calibre recognized my iPod. But my iPod is 10 years old. I know I should probably replace it but it still works and I am not interested in replacing it with a new version. I guess I will create empty book entries for audio books. It would be easier to keep track what I have listened and everything. I know someone mentioned spreadsheets but after dealing with them at work I really don't want to deal with them at home typing up all the audio books I have. I am too attached to how easy Calibre is. I did download Datacrow but have not figured out anything about the program. I really have not had time to play around and learn anything about it. I am tempted to download and try the Book Connect program but I do not know if it will work with audiobooks. All the company keeps telling me is to download and try the program and that it works great with Kindle books. I am not replacing Calibre. But then nothing could replace Calibre for me. I planned to spend Friday night attempting to learn the program but I am baking for a friend. Only 3 dozen more cookies, 3 dozen cinnamon rolls and 2 cakes to icing. Oh and then make No-bake cookies. I have already baked 4 pans of brownies and 2 dozen Snickerdoodles, 2 dozen Chocolate chip, and 2 Double Chocolate cakes. |

In iTunes, if you have your audiobook list in list view, then you can just select all, and copy it directly into a text document or spreadsheet. It will then provide you with all the metadata that is currently displayed in the list view, which means you can change that to your hearts desire.
